Chow Sang Sang (00116) surged more than 11% in early trading on Monday, with shares last up 11.02% at HK$13.40, on turnover of HK$2.73 million.
The jewellery retailer said it expects to record a profit attributable to owners of the company from continuing operations of between HK$2.1 billion and HK$2.2 billion for the first half of the year, compared with HK$910 million in the same period of 2025.
The company attributed the anticipated increase to improved sales performance across its retail business segment in key markets, as well as an unrealised gain from the mark-to-market revaluation of precious metal borrowings, versus an unrealised loss in the prior-year period.
