U.S. Treasury's Yellen says need to watch inflation 'very, very carefully'

WASHINGTON, July 15 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen repeated her view that current elevated inflation is transitory but said in a National Public Radio Interview it needed to be watched "very, very carefully."

“We shouldn’t expect it to disappear next month, but certainly over the medium term I don’t think it will continue," Yellen said of inflation. "But of course, we need to watch inflation very, very carefully."
