    Wow I thought they said it's much more effective than Pfizer and Moderna. Wonder issit they got paid off so the other two can continue to earn money.

      I don't think any amount of money would be worth the reputational damage Merck would incur. It is more likely that Merck's drug was not tested extensively enough until now.
