In the last two weeks, going back to February 14 there have been 22 articles written about PLTR and here is the scorecard:   Seeking Alpha and authorThe result is 20 Buys (including 6 Strong Buys) and 2 holds. Not one Sell recommendation in the bunch. But before you get too excited about that chart, wait until the end of this article. I have written two articles on PLTR, both of them with Buy recommendations by the way, including my most recent Buy recommendation \"Palantir: The Microsoft Of Artificial Intelligence\" and also \"Palantir Is About Data And Data Is The Future \". In this article, I will argue that Palantir is a stock with a very bright 2025 future. PLTR Stock Key Financial Metrics When comparing 2020 with 2021 we can see several areas where PLTR showed significant improvement. One of the big concerns early in PLTR's history was the high price which made the MV (Market Value) very high for a new stock even one as technologically advanced as Palantir.\n Looking at the yellow areas in the following table you can see how the price has dropped considerably at 52%. This of course caused both MV and EV (Enterprise Value) to drop significantly. Since an expanded market value was one of the major arguments against buying PLTR in the past, the current drop in price has made this argument less pervasive. The MV to revenue number has dropped from a very high 40 to 1 down to a much more reasonable 15 to 1. Note this was the result of two items, a decrease in price by 52% and an increase in revenue of 36%.   Seeking Alpha and authorThe other financial metric often talked about regarding PLTR's investment appeal was the large amount of SBC (Stock Based Compensation) being issued each quarter. As I have said before this will go lower and lower as a percent of revenue over time as can be easily seen in the following graph which shows SBC dropping from 293% to 39% over six quarters. 10QAll of the above shows that it is likely that as revenue picks up the previous reasons for not buying PLTR namely, MV to revenue and SBC expense, will continue to drop. So for the long-term, PLTR looks more attractive than it ever has. What Is Palantir's Stock Forecast For 2025? Palantir's management has consistently said that revenue would grow by AT LEAST 30% per annum through 2025. So far they have been right with revenue growing by 47% in 2020 and 36% in 2021. So if we do some simple math and project the minimal revenue expected through 2025 we come up with the following numbers. authorWho among us would not buy PLTR at 5X revenue? Assuming as I do that PLTR will exceed the expected 30% per year revenue growth, buying now and holding until 2025 seems like a very good idea. Is PLTR Stock A Buy, Sell, or Hold? If you want to get sea-sick look at a chart of PLTR's price action since it went public in 2020. It went public on September 30, 2020, at $10 and the high for that first day was $11.42 very close to today's price of $11.79. So basically, Palantir is right back where it started from. NASDAQ and authorNote the 4-month rocketship ride up from September 30, 2020, to February 9, 2021, when it closed at an all-time high of $38.17. Then the doubts started coming in left and right as analyst after analyst brought up the legitimate argument that PLTR was way over its skis MV to price-wise. And oh, those huge SBC numbers were only going to make matters worse. Thus the price fall began its long drop ending with the current price just about exactly where it was when PLTR debuted 17 months ago.\n I am not much of a chart guy, but I really like the looks of that chart, there is a certain symmetry to it. Before you get too excited (you are excited, right?) let's take a look at what analysts were saying after PLTR hit its high price on Feb. 9, 2021. Here's a chart showing the 28 ratings on PLTR from that February 9, 2021 date when PLTR closed at $38 until April 25, 2021. Seeking Alpha and authorSo analysts liked PLTR at $38 and they like it today too at a much more reasonable $11. Take from that what you will. Personally, I did not like it at $38 and sold at $35 closing out some losing call options at the same time. Recently, I sold some PLTR $15 puts and watched helplessly as the price dropped right through that $15 to where it is today. Having spent the last 800 or so words describing PLTR's volatility I would like to close with this.
