Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust's Unit Price Upside Looks Limited -- Market Talk

Dow Jones2022-04-25

0650 GMT - Mapletree North Asia Commercial Trust's unit price upside looks limited, even though the REIT has delivered solid earnings for its fiscal 2022, Citi analysts say in a research note. Citi notes that the Trust posted a "strong" 10% rise in net property income in the fiscal and remains confident on the growth momentum ahead, thanks to fast rebounding economic activities in Hong Kong as the city relaxes its pandemic curbs. However, Citi maintains a neutral rating, as its unit price has already reached the level of the offer price in an upcoming merger deal. The trust's manager in late 2021 had proposed to merge MNACT with another REIT, Mapletree Commercial Trust. (yifan.wang@wsj.com)
