Singapore's Easing of Covid Curbs Bodes Well for Frasers Centrepoint -- Market Talk

Dow Jones2022-04-27

0258 GMT - Frasers Centrepoint Trust is likely to benefit from the recovery of Singapore's retail sector as the country relaxes Covid-era restrictions, Citi analyst Brandon Lee writes in a note. The removal of limits on group sizes in restaurants on April 26 is likely to boost food-and-beverage sales, and the overall performance for Singapore's retail holdings could brighten as people return to offices and due to relaxed travel rules. This bodes well for the real-estate investment trust's earnings as food-and-beverage outlets contribute to 37.5% of its income, Citi notes. The U.S. investment bank keeps a neutral rating and S$2.45 target on the trust. Units rise 0.4% to S$2.45. (yiwei.wong@wsj.com)
