Peloton Interactive's incoming chief financial officer, Liz Coddington, looks suited for the role at the at-home exercise firm, according to Citi.
Analyst Ronald Josey wrote that the new CFO has the experience for Peloton's (ticker: PTON) development. "Given Mrs. Coddington's professional experience spans software, eCommerce, and consumer subscription businesses (including about five years at Netflix ( NFLX), we believe she is well positioned to help manage Peloton in its next phase of subscriber growth," he wrote in a report. Coddington's most recent position was vice president of finance of Amazon.com's ( AMZN) Amazon Web Services unit.
Josey maintained his Buy rating on Peloton stock with a $28 price target. The analyst added that " higher subscription pricing can offset lower product prices and we project subscriptions to account for about 75% of gross margins in [full-year 2024] as Peloton transitions to a more software-centric approach."
Coddington will be appointed CFO effective June 13, succeeding Jill Woodworth, Peloton said in a news release.
