WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus noted that 98% of cases since May have been in the gay, bisexual, and MSM communities. The majority of cases are in Europe. He encouraged those most at risk to make \"safe choices....This includes, for the moment, reducing your number of sexual partners.\" Tedros' stance goes beyond what the U.S. CDC has recommended for prevention so far. The agency has advised avoiding close, skin-to-skin contact with people who have a rash that looks like monkeypox, and not kissing or having sex with someone with monkeypox. As of July 26, there have been 3590 cases in the U.S. The country with the most cases, Spain, has 3738. Key monkeypox players: Bavarian Nordic (OTCPK:BVNRY), SIGA Technologies (NASDAQ:SIGA), Chimerix (NASDAQ:CMRX), and Emergent Biosolutions (NYSE:EBS).
