Singapore Shares Decline 0.2%; Focus Remains on U.S. Jobs Data

Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index closed 0.2% lower at 3145.81. Regional equity markets are moving lower, as investors fret over the risk that the upcoming release of U.S. jobs data could disappoint, writes Stephen Innes, a managing partner at SPI Asset Management in a note.

Decliners included Keppel DC REIT, which closed 5.6% lower; Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust, which slid 3.2%; Mapletree Logistics Trust, which fell 1.9% and NIO, which fell 9.6%.

Gainers included Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, which was 7.3% higher, on news its order book hit record highs after it clinched orders for 22 new vessels.
