Communication Services Stocks Lead S&P 500 Losses In Worst Day Since October -- WSJ

Shares of communication-services companies comprised the worst-performing sector in the S&P 500 on Wednesday as Alphabet's stock dropped.

The communications-services sector fell 4% in its worst day since October.

The sector is home to Alphabet, one of the most heavily-weighted companies in the index. The Google parent's stock dropped 7.6% after the company rolled out new artificial-intelligence-powered features.
