Ra Medical Systems Inc. has hired Steven Passey, the former chief financial officer of QSI Holdings Inc., to be its permanent financial chief.
The medical-device company said Thursday that Mr. Passey would succeed Brian Conn, who has been serving as acting CFO since last summer and oversaw the company's merger with Catheter Precision Inc.
Mr. Passey was most recently the CFO for QSI Holdings in Utah, and before that, the corporate controller for Alsco Inc. He also previously served as the CFO of the medical-device company TechniScan Inc. and the chief accounting officer and treasurer for Mrs. Fields' Famous Brands.
"He is a seasoned executive who has led M&A transactions as well as numerous equity and debt financing transactions for strategic growth," David Jenkins, executive chairman, said of Mr. Passey. "His expertise in these areas will be critical to Ra Medical as we look ahead to the strong market launch of both our VIVO product line and our new LockeT suture retention/closure device."
