Bsquare on Thursday said it had been working with investment bank Telegraph Hill Advisors to explore strategic options.
Telegraph Hill will help the company initiate the process to creating shareholder value, said Bsquare President and Chief Executive Officer Ralph Derrickson.
Also on Thursday, the company released second-quarter financial results, reporting a loss per share of 1 cent on revenue of $6.53 million. In the year-ago period, the loss was 3 cents a share with revenue of $10.4 million.
At 4:32 p.m. ET, the stock was 4% lower at $1.18. IT finished the day's regular session with a 5.1% gain, closing at $1.23. Year to date,, shares are up by more than 8%.
Bsquare said it operates IoT networks and helps companies build connected products.
