MW From Black Friday to Cyber Monday, here's exactly when stores will offer the biggest discounts on TVs, toys, and more

It pays to be strategic. Different days over the post-Thanksgiving shopping weekend have different deals.

You've lined up your wish list and nailed down the budget for your Black Friday shopping. But here's a key question to consider: Which day will have the best discounts on the products you want to buy?

The biggest discounts tend to arrive on different days depending on the product category, according to Adobe Analytics $(ADBE)$, which tracks online shopping activity.

Black Friday, on Nov. 24, will be the best day to buy televisions, when consumers should be able to find discounts as high as 22%, according to Adobe, which used both real-time and historical pricing data to forecast which days will have the best discounts on certain product categories.

If you are buying toys, the best bargains will be on Sunday, Nov. 26, with discounts as high as 35%, Adobe says. Sunday should also be the biggest discount day for clothing, with as much as 25% off.

For electronics, Cyber Monday, on Nov. 27, is the best time to get into the action, when the deepest discounts will be as high as 30%, Adobe said. It's also a good time to purchase furniture, with discounts reaching 19% on Cyber Monday.

For folks eyeing appliances, Adobe's forecast suggests that they should wait a bit. Three days after Cyber Monday, on Nov. 30, will have the best deals on appliances, with discounts of up to 20% off.

But some shopping experts suggest acting sooner rather than later to snag deals, especially if you're on the hunt for a product that might sell out.

It's true that some days are better than others for finding deals, said Kristin McGrath, a shopping expert at the deal-finding site RetailMeNot. "However, our No. 1 tip for shoppers is if you see an early deal that's the lowest price ever on something very popular get it before it sells out," McGrath told MarketWatch.

"Yes, you may see steeper discounts throughout the weekend and on Cyber Monday but most major retailers have their biggest deals out now and you may not want to gamble, especially with fast-selling toys and gaming items," she added.

Apple products, Lego and Roblox toys are among the most popular products heading into Black Friday

So far this holiday shopping season, the most sought-after toys include Roblox $(RBLX)$ toys, which are based on the popular online game, and Squishmallows, which are plush toys. Barbie dolls and Legos have also been popular toy purchases, according to Adobe Analytics. Other hot items include the Nintendo (NTDOY) Switch and Sony $(SONY)$ PlayStation 5, and the Super Mario Bros. Wonder and Spider-Man 2 games.

Apple $(AAPL)$ products are big, as are budget smartphones, monitors and espresso makers, McGrath said. "It's clear that shoppers are going after things that rarely go on sale (like Apple) and snagging items for both gifting and self gifting."

RetailMeNot users have also been interested in deals on streaming services such as Hulu, Paramount and Max (formerly HBO $(WBD)$). "With streamflation (price increases for streaming services) hitting shoppers' pocketbooks, shoppers want to save on these monthly subscription expenses," McGrath said.

"We're also seeing some TV deals (including Target's $(TGT)$ 70-inch Westinghouse TV deal) sell out. And the better-than-ever deals on the Xbox Series X are showing as low stock, pickup only or shipping only, which suggests stock is getting limited."

Don't miss: This Black Friday, watch out for restocking fees on returns at Best Buy and other stores
