Prospecting and Chilean lithium producer SQM lodged a joint bid to acquire Azure Minerals in a $1.7 billion deal equating to $3.70 a share.\nAzure Minerals has entered a new binding deed for the deal which is higher than – and replaces – SQM’s existing proposal.\nAzure’s Managing Director Tony Rovira is encouraging shareholders to support the bid, which has the backing of another major shareholder – Mark Creasy.\nAzure, which has the Andover Lithium project, gained 1.65 per cent today closing trade at $3.69.\nChildcare centre operator G8 Education (ASX:GEM) gained more than 13.5 per cent on its latest trading update.\nG8’s estimated operating EBITDA will fall between A$99 million and A$102 million, well above the $80 million in 2022.  \nThe company says the improvement was thanks to wage management and reduced costs including the use of agencies.\n GEM closed trade at $1.13.\nToday’s ASX debutant – medical imaging tech company Enlitic (ASX:ENL) – had a strong start on market, up 2.4
