We agree that inflation will near 2% this year, likely supporting that narrative for now,” BlackRock noted. However, the world’s largest asset manager went on to say that in its view inflation will still remain a risk as it does not believe inflation will stay at the designed target. “We stay selective as we expect resurgent inflation to come into view.” As a result, the financial firm outlined that it remains very selective in developed market stocks and shows favoritism towards technology artificial intelligence, and quality as it said these areas have outperformed and will likely be more resilient to any shift in market narrative.
