In a CNBC interview, Subramanian said that today’s banking sector (KBE), (KRE) is a new one.  “This is not 2007,” she said. “This is what I would consider a higher quality source of cash return.” She added that the financial services sector (XLF) has been systematically sold every year since 2017, and there could now be a potential for rewriting on quality and cash return.  Banks (KBE) have been under pressure by a number of factors, including regulatory burden and a growth cycle that has not given a strong growth angle for banks.
