Singapore Shares Open 0.4% Higher, Tracking Wall Street Higher -- Market Talk

0108 GMT - Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index rise 0.4% to 3156.07, tracking Wall Street's gains overnight. This is a sign of underlying bullishness amid expectations of a looser Fed policy, says Phillip Securities Research team in commentary. Among the top performers on the benchmark index are Frasers Logistics & Commercial Trust, which is up 2.75%, Seatrium, which gains 1.0%, and CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust, which adds 1.0%. Meanwhile, decliners include Wilmar International, which is down 0.6%, Singtel, which sheds 0.4% and Jardine Matheson Holdings, which falls 0.2%. (amanda.lee@wsj.com)
