Leading the outflow charge for the week were equity funds as they lost $17.3B. At the same time, money market funds handed back $955M, commodity funds noticed outflows of $457M, and mixed assets funds lost $136M. On the other end of the spectrum, fixed income funds added $2.9B and alternatives funds brought in $291M. From an inflow perspective, the two equity focused exchange traded funds that were able to attract the largest amount of net new money were the iShares Core S&P 500 ETF (IVV) and the JPMorgan Global Select Equity ETF (JGLO). IVV added $1.7B and JGLO added $940M. At the same time the two ETFs that observed the largest capital extractions on the week were the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA:SPY) which lost $11B and the iShares Russell 2000 ETF (NYSEARCA:IWM) which lost $2.7B. The fixed income based exchange traded funds that saw the largest influx of cash on the week were the iShares Core U.S. Aggregate Bond ETF (AGG) which added $722M and the iShares 20+ Year Treasury Bond ETF (NASDAQ:TLT) which added $677M. Meanwhile, the most significant amount of outflows were seen by the SPDR Bloomberg 1-3 Month T-Bill ETF (BIL) which lost $1.9B and the iShares iBoxx $ Investment Grade Corporate Bond ETF (NYSEARCA:LQD) as it handed back $835M.
