Anglo American Platinum Likely to Stick to Dividend Policy -- Market Talk

Dow Jones02-16

1012 GMT - Anglo American Platinum is likely to stick to its base dividend policy given lower basket price in South African rand is hurting cash flows, Citi analysts write in a research note. Since the South African platinum miner's earnings are expected to be broadly in line with the pre-released figures, investors will likely look for details on how the lower operating cost guidance for 2024 will be achieved, the analysts say. The miner will release full-year results on Monday Feb. 19. Shares are up 2.5% at ZAR742.69. (christian.moess@wsj.com)
