Manulife US REIT Likely Benefiting From Leasing Activities' Pickup -- Market Talk

Dow Jones02-15

0320 GMT - Manulife US REIT seems to be benefiting from a pickup in leasing activities, UOB Kay Hian analyst Jonathan Koh says in a research note. The REIT secured two new tenants in 4Q 2023, while an existing tenant expanded and The Children's Place returned to its Plaza property in 1Q of 2024, the analyst notes. The REIT is focusing on reducing leverage below its 45% target, with management seeking to conclude asset sales of around US$100 million by either 2Q or 3Q this year, the analyst adds. The brokerage raises the REIT's target price to US$0.155 from US$0.140 with an unchanged buy rating. Units are 5.0% lower at US$0.057. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
