Singapore Shares Edge 0.1% Higher Ahead of U.S. Economic Data -- Market Talk

0933 GMT - Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index edged 0.1% higher to close at 3141.85. Upcoming U.S. data, including the January PCE price index later today, are in focus, UOB's Global Economics & Markets Research team said in commentary. Among gainers on the benchmark index, Seatrium rose 3.45%, CapitaLand Integrated Commercial Trust added 3.2% and Hongkong Land gained 3.0%. Meanwhile, UOL Group fell 4.2%, City Developments shed 1.9% and DFI Retail Group was down 1.9%. (amanda.lee@wsj.com)
