Singapore Shares Fall 0.4%, Weighed by Cautious Sentiment -- Market Talk

0930 GMT - Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index fell 0.4% to close at 3122.21, weighed by cautious sentiment. Market participants' focus this week will largely be on China's "Two Sessions" policy meetings as economic targets for this year will be unveiled, said UOB's Global Economics & Markets Research team in commentary. Investors are also watching to see if Beijing will step up measures to address the country's property woes. Among worst performers on the benchmark index, Hongkong Landshed 2.8%, Seatrium lost 3.2% and UOL Group was down 3.0%. Meanwhile, Venture Corp. rose 2.1% and Genting Singapore was up 1.1%.
