March 11 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals were reported by 1430 GMT on Monday:
** Rakesh Gangwal, co-founder of Indian airline IndiGo, sold a 5.8% stake worth $820.3 million in operator Interglobe Aviation via bulk deals.
** Private equity firm Astorg is considering a sale of its U.S.-based intellectual property software firm Anaqua, four people familiar with the matter told Reuters, with two of them saying the company could be worth as much as $3 billion.
** Dutch electricity grid operator TenneT said it was very likely that an agreement on the planned sale of its German activities would be reached this year.
** India's Aditya Birla Capital Ltd $(ABCL)$ said it will merge with its unit Aditya Birla Finance and turn into an operating non-banking financial company from a holding company.
** Britain's government is weighing whether to approve a UAE-led takeover of Britain's Daily Telegraph amid howls of protest from politicians, journalists and even a former spy chief that the deal risks press freedom.
** Choice Hotels International has terminated its hostile bid for rival Wyndham Hotels & Resorts after failing to gather enough support from the target's shareholders, the company said.
** Contract research firm Fortrea Holdings said it will sell two of its businesses to private equity firm Arsenal Capital Partners for up to $345 million.
** EQT Corp has decided to buy back its former unit Equitrans Midstream in an all-stock deal to create an integrated natural gas provider valued at more than $35 billion, the companies said.
** U.S. investor Elliott Advisors does not intend to make an offer for Currys , saying the board of the British electricals retailer would not engage with it.
** Polymetal International completed the sale of its Russian business to a Siberian gold miner, the precious metals producer said.
** Abu Dhabi-controlled fresh food producer Unifrutti is expanding its footprint in Latin America with two acquisitions in Peru, building on a previous purchase in the region as the firm eyes continued growth in the fruit market.
** Italy's largest regional power utility A2A has signed a 1.22-billion euro ($1.3 billion) agreement with utility Enel subsidiary e-distribuzione to boost electricity distribution networks in Lombardy.
