The new top-end of the Russell 2000 Growth (IWO) is at $7.2B. in addition, the median market cap remains a little over $1B, and the average one falls to $1.7B, the report said. “We see big moves across the Russell 2000 Growth given SMCI weighs nearly 4% of the benchmark, and we project it will move up to the Top 200,” analysts wrote. Also, financials are expected to see weight gain to 1.8%, even after recent poor performance. Communication services and discretionary are expected to gain 0.2% each; staples’ weight is expected to fall by 1.2%; energy to fall by 1%; industrials are expected to gain 0.6%; materials to gain 0.1%; and real estate and utilities are expected to lose 0.2% and 0.7%, respectively. When it comes to the Russell 2000 (IWM), the weighted-market cap reduces by $1.7B to just under $3B, analysts said. Its tech stocks also see a weight loss of 2.6% to 12.3%, and health care see a weight gain by 1.8% to 17.1%.  The Russell 2000 Value (IWN) is expected to see a “modest” decline in its weighted-average cap to $2.5B with no change in its median market cap. Also, sector shifts are very minimal in this benchmark, analysts said.
