Consol Energy said it doesn't have a definitive timeline of when it will be able to resume normal operations at its marine terminal in the Port of Baltimore, where vessel traffic has been halted due to a bridge collapse.

The Canonsburg, Penn.-based coal miner and exporter said is assessing all available options to minimize or address impacts to the company.

Consol said it is working closely with the Coast Guard, transportation authorities and city officials to restore vessel access.

The company said the Coast Guard has established a safety zone for all navigable waters of the Chesapeake Bay within a 2,000-yard radius around the bridge that collapsed, delaying vessel access to Consol's marine terminal.

Consol said the ship that crashed into the bridge earlier Tuesday was not carrying materials bound to or from the Consol Marine Terminal.

"Our primary concern is for the safety of everyone affected," the company said.
