BuzzFeed Strikes Licensing Deal to Merge Operations With The Independent in U.K., Ireland

BuzzFeed has struck a licensing deal with Independent Digital News and Media, the parent company of The Independent, to unite operations in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The combined operation will be helmed by The Independent. BuzzFeed's U.K. staff, including both editorial employees and commercial, will move over to The Independent.

The companies said the deal will allow advertisers to buy across the two companies' sites, which include Tasty UK, Seasoned, HuffPost UK, IndyBest and more.
