Besides, offering messaging app WeChat, the company also operates a video-streaming service that around 450M people in China use at least once a month, the report added.In the U.S., Apple offers immersive content on the device thanks to Disney (DIS), plus its Apple TV+ streaming service and digital movie store.To launch its own streaming service in China, Apple would need to find a domestic partner to help operate it and ensure compliance with the Asian country's censorship rules. Last year, a China-based senior Apple leader told colleagues that the company was seeking such an agreement, however, it was not clear how close it got to a deal, the report noted.Apple has been allowing WeChat to provide mini apps to its own users on the iPhone in spite of the U.S. tech giant's own rules against such behavior, the news outlet had previously reported.Apple CEO Tim Cook, who was on a visit to China last week, reportedly said that Vision Pro will come to mainland China this year. Cook was one of several U.S. business leaders meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping.Nearly 90% of Apple's supply chain is located in China, and the company needs to reaffirm its presence there ahead of the iPhone 16 release this fall, Wedbush had said in a note.Some Chinese companies have already introduced apps for Vision Pro outside China.
