China's February net gold imports via Hong Kong nearly halved m/m

March 26 (Reuters) - China's net gold imports via Hong Kong slumped about 48% in February from the previous month, Hong Kong Census and Statistics Department data showed on Tuesday.

Net imports into the world's top gold consumer stood at 39.826 metric tons in February compared with 76.248 tons in January, the data showed.

Total gold imports via Hong Kong were down about 45% at 45.297 tons.
