Stocks to Watch Monday: DWAC, AMD, Boeing -- WSJ

Intel $(INTC)$, Advanced Micro Devices $(AMD)$: The chip companies' shares fell after the Financial Times reported that China had moved to phase out U.S. microprocessors in government computers and servers.

Boeing $(BA)$: The aerospace company's shares were up 4% following the news that Chief Executive Dave Calhoun would step down at the end of the year.

United Airlines $(UAL)$: The carrier's stock was down 4.5%. The Federal Aviation Administration said it was stepping up oversight to ensure United was complying with safety regulations.

Vista Outdoor $(VSTO)$: MNC Capital boosted its offer to buy the maker of sports and outdoor products to $37.50 a share. Vista stock rose over 2% to just under $33.

Baidu $(BIDU)$, (HK: 9888): A media report said Baidu would provide AI services in China for Apple. The Wall Street Journal previously reported the companies had held preliminary talks. Baidu shares rose in the U.S. and Hong Kong.

Coinbase Global $(COIN)$: The exchanges shares rallied as bitcoin rose. The cryptocurrencys price topped $67,000 Monday, recovering some of last week's losses.

Digital World Acquisition Corp. $(DWAC)$: Shares of the shell company set to take Donald Trump's Truth Social public gained over 7%. Truth Social is expected to start trading this week.

The European Union launched probes into Apple $(AAPL)$, Meta Platforms (META) and Google parent Alphabet $(GOOGL)$ under its new digital-competition law. The three companies all fell 1% or more.

Masimo $(MASI)$: An activist investor is planning a proxy fight for more seats on the medical-device maker's board. Also, the company said Friday it would look to separate its consumer businesses. Masimo stock was up over 10%.

Direct Line Insurance Group (UK: DLG): The London-listed insurance companys stock plunged roughly 11% after Belgian insurer Ageas said late Friday that it wouldnt make a takeover offer. Ageas stock rose.

BuzzFeed $(BZFD)$ earnings are due Monday. Later this week, results are due from Carnival $(CCL)$ and Walgreens Boots Alliance $(WBA.AU)$, among others.
