HUB Cyber Security shares were up 50%, to $1.56, after the company said it secured $8 million in financing via a straight debt arrangement.

The stock hit its 52-week low of 68 cents on Wednesday, and is still down 88% in the past 12 months.

The cybersecurity company said the financing is part of an effort to shore up its financial foundation and meet creditor obligations while allowing for strategic investment.
