Stocks to Watch Tuesday: Blackberry, Norfolk Southern, BP -- WSJ

Blackberry $(BB)$, (CA:BB): The company's stock rallied over 9% in early trading after it announced a robotics-systems partnership with chipmaking giant Advanced Micro Devices $(AMD)$.

Norfolk Southern $(NSC)$: The company agreed to a $600 million settlement in relation to the Ohio train derailment of February 2023. Its stock rose over 2%.

Tesla $(TSLA)$: The electric-vehicle company reached a settlement regarding a fatal 2018 crash involving its Autopilot system. Its stock edged higher.

BP $(BP)$, (UK: BP): The British energy giant said it expects higher oil and gas production to boost its first-quarter profit. U.S.-listed shares climbed after the bell, mirroring a 1.6% gain in London.

Newmont $(NEM)$ and Barrick Gold $(GOLD)$, (CA:ABX): The gold miners' shares climbed 2.5%, as the metal continues to set record highs.

HSBC $(HSBC)$, (UK: HSBA): The global banking giant agreed to sell its Argentina business, and forecast a $1 billion hit to first-quarter pretax profit. Its U.K. and U.S.-listed shares edged higher.
