NetEase's Renewed Blizzard Partnership Won't Affect Its Gaming Revenue Much -- Market Talk

Dow Jones04-10

0725 GMT - Netease's renewed partnership with Blizzard Entertainment won't have much financial impact on the Chinese video game company's revenue growth this year, Citi analyst Alicia Yap writes in a note. Blizzard's games only accounted for single digit percentage of revenue contribution to NetEase's total gaming revenue before the contract was terminated in January 2023. Also, the licensed games tend to have much lower margins so the financial impact on NetEaste's gaming topline should be limited, Yap says. (jiahui.huang@wsj.com; @ivy_jiahuihuang)
