Stocks to Watch: Smart Global Holdings, Velo3D, IN8bio

Smart Global Holdings posted a wider-than-expected loss in the fiscal second quarter, as sales dropped about 27% and missed estimates. The company's guidance for revenue and earnings were also below analysts' forecasts. Shares fell 7.6% to $23.94 after-hours.

Velo3D said it would sell stock and warrants in a public offering as the company looks for additional financing. The metal 3D printing company plans to use the proceeds for various purposes, including paying down debt. Shares fell 21% to 37 cents in late trading.

IN8bio said preclinical data on its potential cancer treatment showed an improved ability to kill leukemia cells without harming healthy cells. The company says the technology will allow for T cell cancer treatment that doesn't come with additional toxicities from healthy tissue exposure. Shares were up 31% to $1.43 in the after-hours session.
