TotalEnergies Shows Stronger-Than-Expected Refining Margins, Jefferies Says -- Market Talk

Dow Jones04-16

0745 GMT - TotalEnergies' update should lead to some single-digit percentage improvement in consensus earnings estimates, Jefferies analysts Giacomo Romeo and Kai Ye Loh write in a research note. "[The] update highlights stronger refining margins, growing integrated power earnings and better LNG realization than expected, versus our numbers," they say. The French energy major guides for stable on-quarter production, largely on par with Jefferies's estimate. Shares are down 1.6% at EUR67.24. (christian.moess@wsj.com)
