Coty Seen Exceeding F3Q Analyst Estimates -- Market Talk

Dow Jones04-16

0948 ET - Coty can beat Wall Street's F3Q revenue and Ebitda estimates when it report results in early May, Citigroup analyst Filippo Falorni says in a research note. Consumer demand for the cosmetics company's brands continues to be robust "with notable strength in recent innovation," says Falorni, despite Ulta Beauty's commentary around a slowdown in the beauty category. "We believe the global prestige beauty category (and particularly fragrances) remains healthy," he adds. The U.S. only represents about 28% of Coty sales, with prestige fragrances globally representing about 55% of total sales. Shares rise 1.2% to $10.63. (sabela.ojea@wsj.com; @sabelaojeaguix)
