Also, the Biden administration reimposed sanctions against Venezuela but will allow some oil companies to continue operating in the country, softening a potential curb on supply. Front-month Nymex crude (CL1:COM) for May delivery closed +0.1% to $82.73/bbl, snapping a three-session losing streak, while front-month June Brent crude (CO1:COM) ended -0.2% to $87.11/bbl, the lowest close for Brent since March 27 for a second day in a row. A drop in U.S. diesel futures to their lowest since early January cut the diesel crack spread - which measures refining profit margins - to its lowest since last April.
