fall 2.2% to $54.50 premarket

** Late on Thursday, WAL raised its forecast for 2024 non-interest expense growth

** WAL now expects non-interest expense growth to be between 6% to 9% in 2024, higher than its prior forecast of flat to 2%

** Truist analysts anticipate some weakness in stock after expense forecast

** KBW analysts say WAL's messaging on the conference call regarding the increased expense outlook will be the key to stock's performance on Friday

** As of last close, WAL shares were down 15.3% YTD
