BUZZ-US energy sector falls as global demand concerns pressure crude prices

** S&P 500 energy sector down 0.57%, as crude prices tumble

** Brent crude down 2.7% at $87.59/bbl and US West Texas Intermediate crude falls 2.7% to $83.06/bbl as U.S. commercial inventories rise and weaker China economic data as well as diminished prospects of U.S. interest rate cuts stoke global demand worries

** Oil major Exxon Mobil down ~0.5%

** Diamondback Energy , Marathon Oil , ConocoPhillips and Occidental Petroleum fall between 0.5% and 1%, among top pct losers on the energy index
