Silvercorp Metals Forecasts Higher Gold, Silver Production -- Commodity Comment

Silvercorp Metals anticipates further production growth over the coming year, following a jump in gold and silver output in the last fiscal quarter.

 

On guidance:

The Canadian mining company said Tuesday it expects to yield between 7,900 and 9,000 ounces of gold and 6.8 million to 7.2 million ounces of silver in the year through March 31, 2025, along with 64.2 million to 69.3 million pounds of lead and 27.1 million to 30.1 million pounds of zinc.

The guidance represents an increase of between 8% and 23% in gold output and 9% to 17% growth in silver production.

 

On 4Q production:

Silver-equivalent production in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2024 was up 11% on a year earlier at 1.32 million ounces, Silvercorp said.

Gold production for the quarter rose to 1,916 ounces from 1,000 ounces in the period a year earlier, while silver output rose to 1.15 million ounces from 1.11 million.
