W.W. Grainger Extends Royal Dividend Status -- Market Talk

11:14 ET - W.W. Grainger boosts its quarterly dividend by 10% to $2.05, marking the 53rd straight years that the supplier of maintenance, repair and operating products has raised its payout. The increase secures Grainger's spot in the S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats Index, whose 67 members have paid a higher dividend for at least 25 straight years. Grainger also maintains its membership in the smaller group of dividend kings--those who have boosted their dividends annually for at least 50 years. That group currently counts 56 members, according to website Sure Dividend. Grainger up 0.6% to $961.08. (colin.kellaher@wsj.com)
