Moderna has reached an agreement with Brazil's health ministry to supply the country with 12.5 million COVID-19 vaccines as part of a national vaccination campaign.

The vaccine maker said Monday that the deal will be an integral part of Brazil's 2024 program following the Brazilian Health Regulatory Agency's approval of Moderna's vaccine last month.

Moderna is set to deliver the vaccines in the second quarter of 2024.
