0948 ET - Polaris Chief Executive Mike Speetzen on an investor call says talks with dealers have indicated one of their options is to move whatever inventory they currently have from other manufacturers but don't plan to continue carrying some of those lines. Many dealers during the pandemic were responding to outsized demand and bringing in whatever was available from a variety of manufacturers. "But now as the market is shaking out, in a lot of instances, those short lines that they brought in did play more to the value lower-end buyer, who has really retreated in this marketplace," says Speetzen, who notes dealers should bet on them as Polaris' lines of business account for a disproportionate share of the market.
