Kuaishou Technology's 1Q Revenue Likely Supported by Online Marketing, E-Commerce -- Market Talk

Dow Jones04-22

0724 GMT - Kuaishou Technology's 1Q revenue could grow 15%, supported by both its online marketing segment as well as its e-commerce and other services segment, Jefferies analysts Thomas Chong and Zoey Zong say in a research note. The Chinese short-video app's 1Q online marketing revenue likely grew 26% on year to around CNY16.4 billion while its live streaming revenue could drop 8% on year due to operational adjustments, they say. Investors should focus on management's updates about recent business trends amid macroeconomic uncertainties and a gradual recovery in consumer sentiment, they add. Jefferies maintains a buy call on Kuaishou and keeps its target unchanged at HK$78.00. Shares were last at HK$45.20. (sherry.qin@wsj.com)
