0852 ET - Wayfair's full-year outlook is looking less certain because of still-slumping furniture demand, according to Wedbush. Analysts say in a research note that March furniture and home furnishings sales were little improved from the trend in January and February, implying a weak start to the critical spring furniture selling season. The analysts say higher mortgage rates and dwindling prospects of significant rate cuts in 2024 make a housing market recovery even less likely, which will translate to slower furniture sales. Still, the analysts think their full-year forecast of 0.3% sales growth could be achievable, as they see Wayfair potentially outperforming the industry.(ben.glickman@wsj.com; @benglickman)
