Reuters04-25

April 25 (Reuters) -

Railroad operator Union Pacific reported mostly flat quarterly profit year-over-year on Thursday, as strong pricing offset lower volumes, particularly in coal.

The company's net income was $1.6 billion, or $2.69 per share, in the quarter ended March, compared with $1.6 billion, or $2.67 per share, last year.
