China association says Tesla, BYD models compliant with China's data security rules

SHANGHAI, April 28 (Reuters) - A top Chinese auto association on Sunday published a list of 76 smart vehicle models produced by firms including Tesla , BYD

, Li Auto and Nio that it said were compliant with China's data security requirements.

The list from the China Association Automobile Manufacturers listed models including Tesla's Model 3 and Model Y as well as BYD's Han DM-i and BYD's Tang DMi-i.

The publication come as Tesla CEO Elon Musk arrived in Beijing on Sunday for a surprise visit, where he is expected to meet senior officials to discuss the rollout of Full Self-Driving software and permission to transfer data overseas.
