Southern Copper to mine over 1 mln tons of copper in 2027 -Grupo Mexico

April 26 (Reuters) - Grupo Mexico expects its Southern Copper mining arm to produce over 1 million metric tons of copper in 2027, the division's Chief Financial Officer Leonardo Contreras said in an earnings call on Friday.

The company predicts output of 949,000 tons this year, he added, and then dipping to 920,000 tons over the next two years as it ramps up projects.
