Domino's Pizza Group's Performance Seen as Disappointing -- Market Talk

Dow Jones05-01

0910 GMT - Domino's Pizza Group continues to find new ways to evolve both on a product basis and strategically, AJ Bell investment director Russ Mould writes in a research note. However, investor reaction to its first-quarter performance was muted, reflecting a miserable showing in January and disappointing slower start to the second quarter, Mould says. "The Euro football championship in June is therefore a welcome potential sales catalyst for the group--but without it, one has to wonder if Domino's would be facing an uphill battle for sales growth given the uneven performance so far this year," he adds. Shares are down 0.5% at 324.00 pence. ( najat.kantouar@wsj.com)
