Shares of lidar company AEye jumped on the Nasdaq Wednesday, following news of a deal that will bring the company's products into the China market.
After the bell on Tuesday, AEye said it will work with Accelight Technologies and LighTekton to bring its 4Sight lidar solutions to the China market.
Shares of AEye had risen 41%, to trade at $3.47 per share, in afternoon trading Wednesday. Volume topped 30.6 million shares, above the stock's 65-day average volume of some 2.9 million shares. The stock has a public float of 5.39 million shares.
Also on Tuesday, AEye reported a first-quarter loss per share of $1.61, and an adjusted loss per share of $1.13. In the year-ago period, the company reported a loss per share of 16 cents, and an adjusted loss per share of 11 cents.
