BUZZ-Syra Health jumps on defense contract

** Shares of healthcare services company Syra Health

rise 36.1% to $1.81 premarket

** Co says it is a subcontractor for LUKE, which is a prime contractor on a 10-year $43 billion Defense Health Agency (DHA) contract to provide medical staffing services at DHA facilities across the country

** SYRA will help LUKE perform the required services, including providing contract workers across various healthcare labor categories in support of mission requirements

** The contract is expected to run from June 2024 until May 31, 2034

** Up to last close, SYRA stock up 30.9% YTD
